On behalf of our client, a prestigious and fast growing international Telecoms company, Manning Global Group is looking for Engineer Charging and Policy Rules for a contract position based in Switzerland Zurich.
Reports to Senior Manager VAS &Terminal Engineering:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- to ensure efficient use and reporting of radio access network resources.
- to ensure QOS for mobile data products
- System owner of Policy Charging and Rules Function (PCRF).
- Analysis of related requirements and break down into technical solutions, implementation control (planning, design, ordering, testing, release of the solution).
- Development and optimization of policies/rules based on marketing requirements, controlled implementation of such policies/rules
- Ensure further development as well as capacity, performance and life cycle management.
- Technical project management and project support, operational support (eg troubleshooting of critical/emergency faults, review of operational guidelines).
- Product development (for residential and business services); other engineering teams primarily in Technology Core Systems and Service Delivery (billing and mediation); solution suppliers; outsourced operations service provider.
- Meeting customer requirements on scope and timing and delivering positive customer experience. Sticking to processes whilst keeping the necessary flexibility. Maintain motivation on challenging projects/tasks, even if multiple projects need to be supported at the same time.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Degree in engineering/information technology (focus on mobile telecommunications) or similar. Good understanding of mobile data services and their technical implementation.
- Practical experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in telecom/IT business (mobile data, charging and policy control functions), related 3GPP specifications
- Language: English is must, German a plus and French a plus.
- Education: IP-networking,
- Practical experience: Experience in the engineering of systems in a telecommunication environment. Design of technical solutions based on marketing requirements. Integration, testing and release of functional changes. Technical project and dependency management.
