On behalf of our client, an international company based in Basel, we are currently seeking an experienced Application Analyst. This position is based in Basel, Switzerland and is a contract until the end of the year with the option to extend.
As part of a global team you will manage and support complex applications in a scientific environment. You will provide technical support related to networks, Servers, workstations and databases and work directly with technology specialists on implementing new solutions. Quality assurance testing of new software releases will also be part of your role, furthermore you will perform data migration and software updates.
For this challenging role you need to fulfil these requirements:
- Excellent experience in providing technical support in Windows/UNIX/Linux environments
- Oracle know-how
- Previous working experience in a scientific environment
- Understanding of imaging and image analysis systems is a plus
- Strong customer focus, dedication to maintain high quality standards
- Ideally you have experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
