This is an exciting opportunity to provide global functional leadership to our client's regional Network Services teams across the AOA/AMS/EUR regions.Your responsibilities will include:
- Be the global point of contact, communication, and drive for the regionally distributed Network Services Team
- Provide global coordination for projects across all zones on time and on budget, collaborating with the Project Management/Project Portfolio Management team in Switzerland and the regions
- Provide strategic planning and guidance to the Network Services Regional Leads to enable the worldwide Network teams to follow and achieve best-in-class according to Service Level Objectives
- Be the global point of contact with the global IT HQ in Switzerland, participating in planning and review, and providing input and guidance
- Take responsibility for the global coordination with all external suppliers (including offshore) for Network Services, ensuring appropriate reviews and followup actions to evolve and mature the service line
- Plan and control the Global Network Services Operational Budget, including liaison between regional budgeting operations and global budgeting. Maintain Dynamic Forecast
- Facilitate the migration of regionalized teams to a "Follow-the-Sun" operation
- Manage appropriate inter- and intra- region escalations of Network Services support issues
- Manage, coach and develop a team of 6 direct reports and c.100 in-direct reports
- A broad background in Information Technology and Information Systems with a focus on Networks
- A proven track record of running complex activities and delivering complex international projects successfully
- Ability to integrate different aspects of IS/IT into common view and communicate this to stakeholders and related teams
- Strong experience working in a Matrix organization and multi-disciplinary teams, and/or leading strategic change management projects
- Experience with an ITIL based globally managed service organization and major incident management
- Experience driving external suppliers
- International exposure and multi-cultural experience
- Excellent understanding of Network Design Principles and Management Systems
- Excellent Communicaton Skills
- Good understanding of finance and control principles, and experience managing budgets
- ITIL knowledge
- Awareness of business needs and balancing actions accordingly
- Strong facilitation skills
