VMWare Administrator, ESX, Linux, Solaris, SQL, Storage, San, EVMFor our client in Zurich- a key player in the banking sector, we are currently looking for a VMWare Administrator.
Responsibilities:
- managing the international VMware farms with a main focus on the local infrastructure
- on-call duty for the local ESX infrastructure
- second level support
- responsible for the ESX 3.5 and ESXi 4
- VM Provisioning process using tools like EVM by ManagedIQ - Manage Large global VMWare environment as part of a global service delivery team
- work closely with engineers
- documentation of technical procedures
- develop scripts to report and solve operational problems
- evaluation of tools
- perform P2V and
- virtual hardware upgrade
Your Profile:
- several years experience in VMware ESX 3.5 and ESXi 4.*
- VMWare certification (VCP4/VCP5 desirable)
- know-how on Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, SQL and Storage (SAN/NAS)
- experience in building Servers on ESX platform
- knowledge on Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- understanding of HP blades and chassis hardware
- understanding of backup and recovery of VMs
