Responsibilities
- Derive customer insights from data, translate into system enhancements, and grow the spend at a positive ROI without constraint
- Become an expert on optimisation algorithms, price sensitivity, media, targeting and understand how they drive client business
- Analyse and problem solve optimization issues, leveraging terabytes of data from 12 Billion+ ad impressions per day
- Design and execute A/B tests to assess the impact of potential optimization refinements
- Educate the Business and Analytics teams on the art of optimisation and the inner workings of our media buying
- Demonstrate thought leadership in digital media analytics and optimisation
- Develop relationships across the organisation, sharing best practices with analysts and managers located around the world
- Have fun while driving innovation at one of the top brands on the Internet with the help of cutting-edge technologies
Ideal Profile
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in transforming actionable analysis into operational improvement
- Strong mathematical skills, with pragmatic understanding of and practical experience with statistics
- A keen problem solver. Intellectually curious. Comfortable with ambiguity.
- Familiarity with analytics/data mining package a plus
- Able to work in Tandem with business partners to formulate and solve tractable projects
- Able to translate a high-level directions into practical projects and lead/drive their completion with minimal supervision
- Confident and persuasive in selling insights & recommendations to senior management
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, to meet deadlines in a dynamic/changing environment, and to set priorities in a complex team and work environment (functional and regional reporting lines)
- Fascination for and understanding of the Internet and E-commerce in general and a strong desire to shape its future
- Quantitative degree (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, )
- 4+ years experience in an analytics/business intelligence role
- Knowledge of Data Mining, Machine Learning, or Optimisation a plus
