We are currently looking for you to join the team on client site as
Technical Consultant for Electronic Data Storage
Your position is located in the dynamic and global environment and is focused on interdepartmental processes related to the collection and provision of electronically stored data in context of litigation cases (eDiscovery).
The process involves identification of relevant backup tapes and extraction of chat transcripts from raw compliance files for regulatory, litigation and audit purposes. This requires a high degree of coordination between players from IT infrastructure, Storage, Records Management, Legal and compliance teams within the client.
Your Responsibilities:
- Validate the list of custodians and time frames connected to the litigation with the legal and compliance teams.
- Work with storage teams to restore raw compliance files from tape backup for the requested time frames.
- Based on the scope of work, set and manage delivery expectations and provide frequent status updates to the concerned teams involved.
- Run in-house developed tools to extract final chat transcripts from the raw compliance files.
- Conduct Quality Assurance on the final chat transcripts.
- Deliver final chat transcripts to legal and compliance in accordance with prevailing IT Security best practices.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows systems
- Knowledge in UNIX Shell and PERL Scripting
- Experience in working with troubleshooting scripts, Network and Operating system errors
- Some understanding of basic legal terms and business terminologies related to storage and archiving
- Good MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent analytical skills
- Being fluent in English, German nice to have
