Introduction:Our customer, a major bank in Zurich is looking for an external eDiscovery Technician/Coordinator

Description:
Your position is located in the dynamic and global environment of Records Management IT and is focused on interdepartemental processes related to the collection and provision of electronically stored data in context of litigation cases (eDiscovery).
The eDiscovery process involves identification of relevant backup tapes and extraction of chat transcripts from raw compliance files for regulatory, litigation and audit purposes. eDiscovery requests are confidential and very time sensitive in nature, any delay in turnaround can potentially result in financial and or reputational loss for the bank. Chat eDiscovery requires high degree of coordination between players from IT infrastructure, Storage, Records Management, Legal and compliance teams within the bank, some occasional contact with external vendors and attorneys may also be required from time to time.
Below are the high level tasks involved in the process.
Validate the list of custodians and time frames connected to the litigation with the legal and compliance teams.
Work with storage teams to restore raw compliance files from tape backup for the requested time frames.
Based on the scope of work, set and manage delivery expectations and provide frequent status updates to the concerned teams involved.
Run homegrown tools to extract final chat transcripts from the raw compliance files.
Conduct QA on the final chat transcripts.
Deliver final chat transcripts to legal and compliance in accordance with prevailing IT Security best practices.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows systems.
Basic understanding of UNIX Shell and PERL scripts.
Troubleshooting script, network and Operating system errors.
Understanding of basic legal terms and business terminologies.
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Excel.
Excellent analytical skills.
