PMO - EU Savings Tax, Legal & Compliance, - SENIOR - Banking - Zurich - Switzerland
URGENT REQUEST - We are looking for PMOs to work on the FATCA Project - a background in FATCA is not essential, however know how in tax laws and EU Savings Regulations are ideal.
This is a long term contract.
MUST HAVES FOR THE PROJECT:
- Proven track record of PMO Delivery (5 years minimum experience)
- Understanding of banking processes and regulatory and/or tax topics
- German Speaker
- High Commitment, drive, energy and eagerness to deliver FATCA together with a high performing team
- Structured, independent and result driven way of working
- Strong communication and people skills.
Project Background:
On March the Senate approved and President Obama signed the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act as part of the HIRE Act. The Act implies a participation of Foreign Financial Institutions in a comprehensive reporting system of US Accounts to the US tax authority Internal Revenue Service or alternatively a withholding tax of 30% on all witholdable payments from the US to FFIs. The bill will become effective in July 2013. our client launched a bank-wide and global initiative to analyse implications on business, processes and platforms and eventually prepare FATCA compliance by 2013.
The Private Banking Project:
- Is sponsored by the PB CEO and PB COO
- Reports to the PB Management Committee and FATCA Review Board (bank-wide program)
- Includes the FATCA project management and PMO and the following Streams, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations and IT, Products, IB Switzerland, Swiss Stream, PB EMEA, PB Americas, PB APAC
- Covers all Private Banking businesses across Switzerland and 25 international locations including related supporting functions
Roles and Tasks for FATCA PMO:
- Support and further enhance FATCA PMO (Milestone tracking, status reporting, senior stakeholder management, communication, budgeting, controlling, ris and issue management, etc)
- Support Project Management in quality insurance and cross link and enable other Stream Leads to ensure front to back view on deliverables with focus on Legal, Compliance and Tax (eg, conduct deep-dives on and challenge deliverables, set up and moderate workshops, provide input to concepts, support process definition)
- Take over milestones in PM such as definition of FATCA BAU organisation, pricing, clean-up concept for international locations etc
