Our Client in the finance industry seeks a Windows Server Engineer/Specialist to support a strategic project, which will provide a Windows Server 2008 based Firm Wide Risk platform for mathematical and statistical calculations. The team which you will be joining is lacking Windows Server expertise and needs a SME to lead in that area. You will therefore need to be a senior engineer who is able to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the project team and the infrastructure engineering teams.
- Supporting various Windows related tasks as Scripting (Perl, Shell, VBScript),
- Windows Server configuration/setup
- Active Directory implementation
- Citrix/Remote Desktop setup and packaging
Experience Required
- Several years of experience with Windows Server 2008 engineering
- Several years of experience with Windows Packaging
- Microsoft infrastructure & Windows systems - in particular Windows Server 2008
- Scripting languages - Windows BAT, PowerShell, VBScript, Perl
- Active Directory and local/group/domain policy implementation
- Windows server Firewall configuration, IPSEC
- Windows server network and routing configuration
- Authentication technology in Windows ie Smartcards
- Citrix and Remote Desktop
- Windows server clusters - in particular Blade technology
- Windows packaging and deployment - good knowledge of WISE or Orca packaging tool
