Our client is opening a new Network Operations Centre in Zurich.
For this Centre they are looking for Back Office Engineers for the Fixed, Wireless and Core functions.
The roles are initially for 3 months with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidates.

The tasks of this job involve:
To provide Second line support to resolve issues escalated from first line diagnostics.
Provide guidance and support for software delivery and upgrades.
Provide technical reports to identify cause of problems, and give preventive guidance to avoid same problem happen again.
Escalate the trouble ticket to third Line
Coordinate and Implement Changes and configurations over the network elements
Fulfill the Service configuration and activation according to plan.
Cooperate with third line support & HQ to deal with the network problems such as collecting statistics, databases, configuration files and logs.
Updating the network structures, version document, third party equipment list and other network related information periodically.
Preventative maintenance implementation.
Fault Management support:
Trouble ticket management, prioritization, Fault diagnosis, Remote fault resolution, Management and control of fault progression, escalation of technical support,
Work in a KPI oriented way (Detection time, reaction time, restoration resolution time etc
Configuration Management support:
Responsible for actual configuration and provisioning activities within the network, planned events, software introduction, and impact analysis.
Software Management: Maintenance of current deployed software for all network elements.
New software release update and implementation when they become available.

Skills required:

2 years experience and deep knowledge of following technologies:

(Mobile) Networks Core components;
Intelligent Networks;
TCP/IP;
Windows, Linux
Network Management Systems architecture and features;
PSTN Switching Devices
GSM. UMTS
Fixed Network/Wireless Network specific skills as per relevant experience.
