Senior IT coach

For my client based in Zürich, Switzerland I am looking for an experienced Senior IT coach.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months+

Role:
Project Manager with the technical and coaching skills to coach PM Program/Project Managers, AD Development Managers, BE Requirements Engineers, and QM Quality Managers, Process Managers and Test Managers

Job description:

A senior coach is an IT professional who is able to coach all members of a project management team (project manager, requirements engineer, developers, quality managers, etc.) on how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the practices they use to manage and execute all phases of the project design, development, validation, delivery and operationalization within the context of the newly harmonized "My client´s" Solution Delivery Framework (SDF).

In addition to the proven ability to coach others to successfully learn and adopt new project management and software development practices, successful senior coaches will have demonstrated mastery of multiple development methodologies (waterfall, agile, RUP, etc.) a track record of successfully leading multiple large-scale cross-cultural software development teams, and personal experience with multiple software development roles.

While SDPH coaches will be expert in multiple software development methodologies, they will be able to rapidly learn, embrace and coach others to adopt the Risk-Outcome-Practice based Solution Deliver Framework.

SDPH senior coaches will work with project teams in workshop and consultation modes to improve the development methods of the teams, to measure effectiveness, and to identify, capture and validate Risks, Outcomes and Practices for reuse across my client´S IT.

SDPH coaches will also collaborate with other coaches and the SDPH training team to create training material to support project teams and line management to adopt the SDF concepts and practices.

Duties:
- Learn and embrace SDF Risk-Outcome-Practice based methodology
- Simultaneously coach multiple project teams on SDF in a methodology agnostic way
- Assist the SDPH engineering team to identify and capture risks, outcomes, effective practices and project profiles
- Collaborate with the training development team to create training material
- Support the SDPH coaching lead to manage project engagements on an iterative base
- Support recruitment and selection of coaches within SDPH and the functional areas
- Mentor fellow coaches

Skills:
- Coach senior development professionals and line managers to learn and adopt unfamiliar practices
- Plan, prioritize and execute multiple simultaneous project engagements
- Develop training material
- Deliver classroom training and host workshops

Desired Qualification/Work Exposure:
- Expertise in multiple software delivery methods such as waterfall, agile, lean, rational unified process, and XP
- Demonstrated success building and leading effective small and large scale solution delivery projects teams
- Demonstrated success leading geographically distributed multicultural teams
- Demonstrated success with both product and process development projects
- Experience leading Scrum of Scrum meetings
- Experience leading classroom training and open forum workshops
- Expertise implementing continuous improvement processes
- Working knowledge of quality management - test management and test design.
- Working knowledge of various IT terminologies such as SOA, configuration management, testing, solution architecture, and web services, etc.

Certifications:
- Scrum Master - preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt - preferred
- PMI/PMP - preferred
- ITIL Foundation v2/v3 - preferred
