Basel II/III PL/SQL & Java Application Developer/Systems engineer - BERN - BANKING
Location: Bern
Application Developer/Systems Engineer - SENIOR would be liaising with the teams in NY and Singapore dealing with the various work packages across the Compliance Area.
We are looking for a SENIOR PL/SQL and Java Developer who has the capability to drive and steer the project forward
The goal is to command and progress quickly in a pressurised and fast changing environment. OBIEE is not essential, but the future focus within the bank is to move towards this environment so would be a good skill to have.
A background in Financial Accounting and Compliance is a MUST. The ability to challenge the Accounting issues is important and effective communication to the other teams on the Business side is essential. German speaking profiles are great, but English Fluency is a MUST.
Skill set:-
- Several years of experience with PL/SQL and JAVA Development (experience with OBIEE is an advantage, but not a must)
- Ideal candidate would also have banking background/experience (Basel II/Basel III and/or Financial Accounting experience)
- International experience/working in a global organization
- The ability to steer things forward
- Willingness to act as regional single point of contact
- Working under extreme pressure- Good communication skills as the position could require a close relationship with IT-teams outside Switzerland
- Fluency in written and spoken English (must) and German (nice to have, would be an advantage)
