For our client, a multinational company, we are looking for a
SAP Data Archiving Specialist
To implement and maintain strategy, tools and processes for SAP data archiving, taking into account the legal requirements for data retention, system performance requirements and application life cycle management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Definition of the data archiving strategy for SAP
- Design and construct of data archiving solution
- Transfer of data archiving tools and processes to archiving teams
- Project management of specific data archiving initiatives
- Analysis of requests for system upgrades, providing technical insight, feasibility, and risk assessment
- Integration of data archiving requests
- Ensure a consistent best practice approach to SAP data archiving
- Build and maintain an international network of data archiving experts
Candidates applying for this role must have:
- Technical understanding of SAP data archiving tools including external storage tools (eg Documentum)
- Deep understanding of SAP data archiving methodology, data archiving objects, their relationship to tables and their hierarchy
- Deep understanding of how to select and setup the most appropriate infrastructure for data archiving
- Knowledge of market trends with regards to data archiving technology and integration products
- Project management skills
