TAP3 System Architect
For a long term contract in Bern we are looking for a System Architect with a proven TAP3 track record. You will be in charge of the technical part of the RFQ process and the IT solution. You will support the project through all its phases. This will involve working closely together with business representatives, project managers, billing architects, the current TAP3 platform manager, operations and test management.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Collect requirements from various parties (incl. analysing current TAP3 platform) and create the business and technical requirements
- Provide technical input for the RFQ process
- Support the RFQ process and assist the evaluation of the possible vendors and their respective offers
- Designing the future TAP3 platform (HW, interfaces & connectivity, functionality, database, processes, environments, operability, testability etc.)
- Designing the end to end TAP3 - solution, covering the integration aspects of the new TAP3 platform into the existing OSS/BSS landscape
- Provide guidance and support to integration partner in the specification and implementation of the required solution
- Review project documents and evaluate their impacts to the TAP3 platform
- Document detailed system and interface requirements as required, working closely with the development team, product management, and the customer
- Define life cycle processes together with the platform manager
- Support the coordination between the development and the test team during the various test phases
- Support the operations team during the rollout phase
Required Skills and Experiences
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineerin
- Good knowledge of different software technologies - especially Oracle and Linu
- Understanding of the in- and outbound roaming process and the challenge of applying operator specific rating per call scenario, filtering and forwarding of chargeable events to the billing system
- Understands the TAP3.11 format and its contained call scenarios as defined by the GSMA documents TD.57, TD.58 and TD.60
- Confident with the rating relevant documents such as AA.14 and the charging principles applied to rate roaming calls
- Experience in dealing with GSM/TAP3 related matters and it's resulting problems such as call assembly, duplicate check, EU-Regulation, BID rating, Video-Telephony, CTLs 1-3,MVNO integration, M2M, RAT-change, time-band change, local-time vs. visited-time, SMSC/GGSN home billing, national-roaming
- Is able to understand the implication of GSMA business documents such as BA.11, BA.12, BA.13, BA.27, and BA.41 to TAP3 platform
- Is able to understand the implication of new standards like 3.12 and VoLTE on TAP3 In-depth
