On behalf of our client, a leading pharmaceutical based in Basel, we are seeking a
Scientific Indexing and Authoring Specialist
This opportunity is schedule start ASAP preliminary finishing by the end of 2012 with a probably extension of contract.
Having gathered strong experience in the field of authoring and indexing you are able to quickly review, classify and retrieve key messages from scientific publications. Working towards maintaining and improving the client's scientific database you are responsible for the quality control of relevant clinical and medical publications that enter the database. Coming from a scientific background you are strongly familiar with the controlled vocabulary used and are able to handle database content diligently.
To be successful you bring the following to the role:
*Strongly knowledgeable about indexing and authoring with prior experience working in this field
*Experience extracting relevant information from scientific publications
*Scientific Degree in the life science field (Biology,Pharmacology, Chemistry, Medicine etc.)
*Excellent experience with databases concerned with specialist information (scientific literature eg)
*Degree in Information Science is an advantage
*Excellent communication skills
*Fluent English (scientific language!), German is an advantage
