My client in Zurich, Switzerland is looking for a contract based Cognos Developer.
The Cognos Developer will drive efficiency through the development and implementation of Cognos Powerplay cubes and reports and to provide strategic advice on the use of BI and management information.
The successful candidate will be working with customers to establish BI requirements, and utilises all aspects of Cognos to deliver these, including but not limited to:
- Utilising Powerplay transformer, creating and maintaining data source connections, creating and testing Cognos powercubes
- Developing advanced report studio outputs, scheduling cube and report creation and devising and delivering training
- The role also provides strategic advice on Business Intelligence and makes recommendations around improving the use of management information throughout the organisation and driving efficiencies
- You should have extensive & demonstrable experience of all elements of Cognos BI at v8.4, extensive knowledge of BI technologies, data warehousing and reporting
- You will need to be proactive and analytical, as well as an excellent communicator and influencer. You will need the ability to plan and deliver projects to deadline and handle conflicting prioritie

English language skills are mandatory, German an advantage.
This contract has an initial duration of 9 months with option for extension.
