For our customer in Bern we are looking for a

System Architect

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of Basel III/ZCDB solutions based on Oracel DB technology, PL/SQL, Java-Development Dataware House and ETL PowerCenter tool set.
  • Development of technical concepts (also in a role as solution architect as needed), responsibility for design and implementation of specified requirements to the projects according to the standard solution delivery processes.
  • Technical specification and implementation of diverse interfaces and ETL processes to and from other systems and within DWH.
  • Operations/Solution Integration.
  • Perform 3rd level support for deployed components.
  • Acceptance tests in cooperation with Business and hand over to DWH operations and other support teams.
  • Provide support documentations and checklists according to the system engineering.

    Required Skills:

  • Several years of experience with PL/SQL, JAVA Development, Dataware House, ETL with special regards to PowerCenter Tools (at least 3; better 6 years and more)
  • International experience/working in a global organization
  • The ability to steer things forward
  • good communication skills as the position requires a close relationship with IT-teams outside Switzerland
  • willingness to act as regional single point of contact for technical requests
  • Ability to cover solution architect tasks if required would be an advantage
  • fluency in written and spoken English (must) and German (nice to have)
  • ideal candidate would also have banking experience
