On behalf of our client, a leading pharmaceutical based in Basel, we are seeking a
Scientific Knowledge Analyst
This opportunity is schedule start ASAP preliminary finishing by the end of 2012 with a probably extension of contract.
Working towards maintaining and improving the client's scientific database you are responsible for the quality control of relevant clinical and medical publications that enter the database. Having been able to gather experience in the field of authoring and indexing you are able to quickly review, classify and retrieve key messages from scientific publications. Coming from a scientific background you are strongly familiar with the controlled vocabulary used and are able to handle database content diligently.
To be successful you bring the following to the role:
*Scientific Degree in the life science field (Biology,Pharmacology, Chemistry, Medicine etc.)
*Excellent experience with databases
*Strongly knowledgeable about indexing and authoring
*Experience extracting relevant information from scientific publications
*Familiar with Database handling
*Degree in Information Science is an advantage
*Excellent communication skills
*Fluent English (scientific language!), German is an advantage
