Software Distribution Specialist (SCCM 2007)

Do you have 3+ years of hands-on experience of software distribution in a large office environment? If you are proficient in using Microsoft SCCM 2007 and have good Scripting skills in VBScript and Powershell then we have an opportunity for you with one of our global clients.

Job purpose:
To provide level 2/3 support and follow-up specific to software distribution using Microsoft SCCM 2007 in a complex MS environment, to workstations worldwide.

Main responsibilities:

• Software distribution preparation using SCCM to target packages and hotfixes to workstations
• Scripting using WQL queries to identify target hosts
• Validation of Workstation deployment infrastructure and implementation of changes
• Resolution of software distribution related tickets (incidents and requests)
• Writing ad-hoc' scripts for support/maintenance/monitoring of SCCM activities
• 2nd/3rd level support to Markets
• Processing & dispatching of Specific Market Requests
• Follow-up of Build Upgrades & Critical Hotfixes

Candidate must have excellent skills and experience in the following:

• Microsoft SCCM 2007
• VBscript
• Powershell
• WMI
• WQL
• Unattended deployment/Ghosting
• Windows 2000/XP/Vista
• Active Directory
• Packaging process for Microsoft platforms
• IP/DNS/DHCP

This is a contract role for 9 months in the first instance. Candidates must be fluent in English, and CVs should be sent in Engish.
