We are looking for a:
RAN Engineer (9 Months)
Main Roles and Responsibilities :
Support the operator project to engineer a new packet microwave solution to increase and better utilise the wireless transmission capacity:
Elaborate a study taking into consideration the local specificities (e.g. installed microwave systems, regulatory constraints)
Evaluate possible architectures based on technical and economic criteria from solutions such as hybrid microwave, pure ethernet microwave and ML-PPP over PDH MW
Insure integration with existing RAN, SDH ADM’s and Tellabs IP/MPLS routers
Reduce the very high complexity due to the multiplicity of the options to drive three mobile backhaul solutions to one
Coordinate multiple technologies and multiple vendors to allow HSPA+ deployment
Set-up configuration and perform tests on NSN RAN Lab and as field trial
Deliver acceptance results of the lab and live acceptance results
Requirements:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering
Excellent understanding of Telecom Engineering principles
Proficient in 2G, 2.5G, 3G and LTE System technologies
Working knowledge of Ericsson and NEC transmission products
Proficient in Windows, TCP/IP, RNC, Node B
Good written and oral communications skills in English
EU citizenship or valid work permit for Switzerland
