For one of our clients in the Financial Services sector, Swisslinx is looking for a Senior Java Developer.
The Developer will be tasked with designing and developing applications for messenger systems working in an agile-based environment building creative syndication products. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing event data from various sources such as databases, message queues, persisting and enriching data and format the data for various delivery channels such as Mail, RSS and Atom/Pub.
Core Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and deploy Java based broker and messenger applications.
- Providing architectural input to project-related decisions.
- Use industry best practices to deliver high quality code.
In order to be successful in those tasks, you will require the following:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience (with 5 years of expertise in Java coding).
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
- Experience developing JEE6 based applications (WebSphere 8 preferred).
- Understanding of networking and how applications work through the networks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Innately curious and someone who likes exploring and experimenting and evaluating new technology.
- Demonstrable experience of XML, XML Schema, RSS and Atom
Start date would be ASAP for a long-term contract.
