Wintel Systems Administrator needed to join an international bank in Geneva. You will be supporting a vast Wintel infrastructure and should have a strong knowledge the windows server operating systems including Windows Server . Strong knowledge of WINS, DNS, DHCP, GPO and Active Directory. You should have experience of working in a busy enterprise environment with 5000+ users.
Your responsibilities include:
Troubleshooting daily incidents with the application of subject-specific technical knowledge.
Continuous analysis of reoccurring incidents and problems occurring in the daily business then cooperating with the Incident Prevention Team (IP) and the IT engineering to deliver long term solutions.
Implementing solutions that are delivered by Incident Prevention and IT engineering
Work with project team and/or takeover of individual project tasks.
Continuous analysis of the support process and helping necessary teams to improve the process.
Responsible to review/update already published and expired solutions, as well as create new solutions in to the knowledge management database.
When necessary design and deliver training.
Keep customers and the management of relevant issues.
To fulfil the defined requirements of the shift work (24/7).
To open problem investigation requests with the Incident Prevention or the respective competence centre
Very good professional IT knowledge (eg MCP, MCSE or similar)
IT and support experience (advantageously in a bigger and complex IT environment
Very good Windows and network knowledge
