We are looking urgently for a Senior Java Developer (Java Server Developer) to work in the FX Trading and Connectivity Team of our client - an international bank with subsidiaries inside and outside of Zurich.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Design, develop, test and performance tuning of new and existing components supporting the trading and connectivity client APIs as well as ECN market data connectivity into the Real Time FX trading system High frequency model trading, automatic matching and pricing engines are all fields which the team supports and offers exposure to. Special requirements:
Java expert with at least 8 years Java having proven experience of implementing globally distributed, 24/5, high-performance, high frequency, low latency systems profound understanding of messaging, multi-threading, distributed systems, efficient API design is essential excellent knowledge of industry best-practice is essential strong and methodical analytical skills and experience of performance measurement and tuning are essential experience with these tool is a plus: Real Time trading systems, FIX protocol, Foreign Exchange, ECN Connectivity, 29 West (LBM, UME), TIBCO Rendezvous, Subversion/Git/Mercurial, KDB+/Q, R, FIX protocol extremely motivated, self-driven and committed persoable to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment showing excellent Java skills ability to express technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff is a plus, also ability to maintain balance between strategic ideals and practical solutions.
