For a client we are currently looking for a Project Manager with following skills.
Experience and Skills:
It must be clarified that this role is not only for a generic project manager but the selected candidate must possess hands-on ICT Infrastructure architecture design and technical skills, on a as many of the following areas as possible (priority in given-order):
- Microsoft environment (MS Exchange, MS network/Servers, Active Directory, MS Windows XP/7)
- MS Windows Migrations and managed desktop design
- Data Centers planning
- High availability Servers/storage/recovery
- Virtualized environments
- Project Management
- Previous hands-on experience in managing technical projects, using structured project management methodologies, tools and techniques (eg Prince 2, PMBOK, etc)
- Able to deliver key project deliverables, and/or work with project owners on key documents such as Project Initiation, Scoping, End of project documents, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of PM tools such as MS Project, MS Office, Visio, etc;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with abilities to work in a global/multi-cultured fast-moving environment, ability to manage issues, cope in difficult situations and find solutions/options to problems or facilitate escalation for ensuring projects move forward
- Ability to coordinate effectively
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), with good drafting skills. French will be an advantage.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Work closely with the CIO and Business Analysis manager for project coordination. From the Strategic Planning activity deliverables, compile a master project plan covering current and planned Infrastructure projects, which needs to be monitored, kept up-to-date and communicated
- Work closely and assist relevant teams and managers for ensuring their projects are correctly scoped and reflected in the planning, in accordance to the Infrastructure strategic policy, budget and planning and for ensuring appropriate use of resources
- Work closely with the external vendors used for projects delivery
- Keep track of issues and risks, with appropriate follow-up
- Work with the Infrastructure team to conduct project and infrastructure systems design reviews to ensure they meet the company's priorities and needs
- Organize and conduct regular projects status meetings (weekly) and assist the head of Business Analysis to prepare for the monthly Management briefing (ICT Governance) meetings
- Advise the CIO and Head of Global Infrastructure in compiling plan-of-action for specific infrastructure activities and advise of any adjustments of projects scope or technical design
- Contribute on Infrastructure Project deliverables, especially on PID, Technical architecture design validation, etc.
