For our client in Basel we are looking for a SQL Server database administration, maintenance & on-going day-to-day operations support including installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
Must Have:
- Installing, configuring & patching SQL Server in clustered and non clustered environment
- Upgrading SQL Server version from 2005 to 2008
- Administration and Security management of SQL Server
- Production and development database administration
- SharePoint SQL database administration
- Backing up and restoring of SQL Server and MySQL databases
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability (Failover Clustering)
- Working knowledge of SQL Server reporting services.
- Monitoring & Performance tuning of SQL Server/databases
- Organise/perform support and troubleshooting for SQL Server and products
- Replication, Mirroring and knowledge of setting up Remote Blob Storage
- Working collaboratively in a team environment
- Working in cross-functional project teams
- Basic working knowledge of Windows and Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
Desirable experience in:
- Oracle 10g/11g database administration
- Integration, Analysis, Notification services.
- Heterogeneous DB Migration between Oracle and SQL Server
