We are looking for a bilingual (French & English) Microsoft Certified (MCSE or MCITP) Windows Server Specialist to work with a global client based in Vaud, Switzerland. The consultant will be responsible for:Project management (50%)
- Point of contact for the integration of new business needs on Windows Servers (HQ and R&D in CH)
- Design Servers architecture to integrate new business needs (expertise in windows infrastructure design)
- Install business application on Windows Servers (Preprod and Production environment)
Business application support (50%)
- Support business applications on preproduction and production windows Servers (update, availability).
- Ensure installation are done according to set standards
- Keep the relevant documentation up to date (Architecture, Install process, D2D support)
- Train team members on D2D Application Server activities
- Coordinate with the business the OS or the application update
- Escalate problems to the respective organisation (internally, externally)
- Participate in Saturday activities (planned interventions out of business working hours)
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years experience in the following:
- Hardware Server
- MS server OS (W2K3, W2K8R2)
- MS Clustering
- IIS
- Apache
- .NET
- VMWare technology (Virtualization)
- Technical project management
- Windows Infrastructure design
- Application integration/support on windows Servers
This is a contract position starting 01 March 2012, ending 31 December 2012.
