SAN Storage Specialist - Finance - Zürich
Our client, an international financial services company, is currently looking for an experienced SAN Storage Specialist to act as the primary contact for the EMC CX700 technical refresh project for the Swiss region. Your Tasks would include maintaining the availability of the infrastructure based on the SAN environment and leading storage-related projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that processing on all systems is in accordance with SLA`s
- Advise, support and coach colleagues, line managers, specialists and project managers on products, services, processes and results
- Support the standardization of the storage environment
- Ensure that appropriate tests are in line with the test concept and create transparent and complete documentation
- Provide on call support outside of business hours
- Assist with out-of-hours change activities, including during weekends
- Co-ordinate change management with the help of planning, control and monitoring tools
- Provide recommendations for improving quality and efficiency, and implement these along the project plan into the environments
To be considered for this long term role you must have the following skills/experience:
- Working experience within a big, international company
- Formal education and training or equivalent experience in Information Technology
- Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN), Zoning and Fibre Channel cabling (preferably CISCO)
- Experience with EMC`s range of enterprise products, including Clariion, DMX and V-MAX
- Experience in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level support on the storage environment
- Expert in consumption-driven requirements planning and team overlapped task co-ordination
- Proven customer service and communication skills
- Fluent in English
