A major Asset Management company based in Zurich is looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join a team providing 2nd Level support to over 150 business Applications. You will be required to work effectively within a team bringing a positive attitude towards work and a thirst to get involved and collaborate effectively with the rest of the team. A lot of focus will be put on the attitude of candidates and although technical ability is important attitude will be the main decider of the candidate selected.
Key requirements for this position are:
- Broad technical knowledge (command line and Scripting in Wintel & UNIX environments and strong SQL skills). Track record of effecting application management changes within a global, high-availability environment.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills. Able to translate complex technical issues into plain English, easily digestible for customers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving background with a focus on ownership of issues and a commitment to resolving them.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused organisation that is undergoing rapid change. Flexible and able to adapt to new situations as the business demands.
- Influential and able to persuade peers and stakeholders (at various levels) and thereby, overcome uncertainty to change and sustain support.
- Limited evening, weekend and bank holiday work.
- Occasional on-call availability.
