Senior Java Developer is required to work for an investment bank based in Zurich.
This is a hands-on role that includes liaising with business stakeholders and analysts to gather and understand new requirements, designing and implementing new solutions as well as extending existing implementations.
Task & Responsibilities:
Working as part of a small development team to enhance and maintain the Pricing and Trading Flow systems for the FX Listed Product business.The development team are focused on the business delivery pipeline, working iteratively and delivering functionality to production on a weekly basis.
Required Experience/Skills:
- At least 5 years hands-on professional experience with JAVA SE & OO development
- At least 3 years experience with Java development in a multi-threaded non-J2EE environment.
- Experience with high performance, high throughput systems
- Experience with test driven development
- Experience with messaging technologies (JMS/RV/EMS/MQ)
The following experience is desired but not required:
- Experience within the financial sector (preferably within FX Structured Products or FX derivatives)
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with GUI technologies (eg SWT, Swing)
- Experience with Subversion, Maven and Bamboo
- Experience with Requirements capture and technical analysis
- Very strong communication skills and is fluent in English
