For one of our multinational client in the finance industry, we are currently looking for aApplication Remediation for Web Workstation Specialist (Windows 7, IE8 and Office 2010 Migration) – Contract 11 months - Zurich
Our client has a global migration of Desktop applications to IE8 / Win 7 / Office 2010. You will have the responsibility to provide management oversight of application remediation activities in the web/desktop application remediation.
Description:
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the issues escalated in chat channel, updating the issue management system, escalating to overall issues manager of critical issues, working closely with office content developers and business power users to support them in assessment, remediation and testing activities.
Requirements:
• Strong expertise in IE8 / Win 7 / Java technology for web / workstation application remediation.
• Previous Experience acting as application remediation expert for web / workstation applications.
• Previous Experience of successfully completing IT projects in a financial institution
• Very good understanding of IE8 / Win 7 remediation issues for web / workstation applications
• 10 years experience
• Fluent in English – German is a strong plus
• Valid US work permit
Additional information -
Application development in multiple languages is required for rich client applications and web applications - C++, .NET, HTML 4 and 5, JavaScript, IE6 to IE8/9 remediation

VB6
Java (client-side)
Modernizr web library
Tools Knowledge
Windows debuggers
SysInternals tools, especially Process Monitor and Process Explorer
Compatibility Administrator
ChangeBase or AppDNA
Background in App-V, MSI packaging, SCCM deployment a huge plus
Working place: Zurich (Switzerland) incl. travels to UK and/or US
Duration: min. 11 month (plus extension)
