We are looking for a Training Solution Specialist in the area of Basel:Purpose Statement
Working with the Training Solution Managers and Subject Matter Experts, runs the design and implementation of specific IT Training solutions using sound instructional design skills. Communication and collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is critical to ensure the information is accurate and solutions developed are functionally sound. Contributes to the Training Solution team as part of a pool of training Solution Specialists in support of the x-functional training solutions project portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assists/supports the Training Solution Manager in designing fit for purpose IT Training solutions
• Implements recommended Training Solutions in line with training standards
• Applies adult learning theories in designing and developing materials for a variety of delivery channels including: e-learning, virtual classroom, informal trainings and reference materials
• For projects assigned to organizes resources and activities related to instructional design course production, course revisions, course development
• Interfaces for projects assigned to with the Training Delivery Services team, external suppliers and SMEs for continued improvement of our training solution
• Interfaces for projects assigned to with Training Solution Manager e-Learning for effective delivery of e-Learning concepts in own area or responsibility
• Organizes train-the-trainer workshops for projects assigned to (via external vendors, or via self)
• Personal delivery of trainings on an exceptional basis for knowledge retention
Experience and Skills
• 2 to 5 years experience as an instructional designer, including experience in training delivery
• Ability to communicate with SMEs, IT employees, colleagues and vendors
• Possesses a strong knowledge of instructional design, development processes, training delivery and evaluation methods
• Possesses good communication skills both written and verbal, including presentation skills
• Strong in task management, managing personal workload against parallel project asignments and follow up
• Possesses a working knowledge of eLearning authoring systems and LMS requirements
• Knowledgeable in social media and mobile learning
• Experienced in working with SMEs
• Knowledgeable in MS Office applications inclusive MS Project
• Experience in a global working environment/global company
• Strong interest in trends of the training industry
Education
• Educated to bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Degree or certification in Instructional Systems Design or equivalent experience
