Finance administrator required by a leading international telecommunications consultancy on a 12 month fixed term contract in Switzerland/Germany.
Context of the job:
This position demands a knowledge of the activities of the enterprise at country level and of the procedures and policies applicable within the company. The holder ensures that these are respected.
Medior level of experience. Discretion and professional skills such as planning and organisation, defining priorities, assertiveness, diplomacy, resistance to stress and result orientation are required. This position demands a understanding of the way the Country Management operates and wants things done, and a great deal of tact, integrity, insight and initiative within and outside the enterprise.
The Finance Administrator keeps records of financial transactions and verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals. He/she summarises details in separate ledgers or other computer files and transfers data to general ledger. The Administrator reconciles and balances accounts. They may compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, sales statistics and reports, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.
Key Accountability's Finance Administrator:
* Gathering, controlling and verifying financial data related to day-to-day accounting
* Ensuring entries are made in time, accurate and complete.
* Reporting on financial figures related to statutory accounts and in accordance with IFRS.
* Ensuring periodic closing, within time limits.
* Ensuring completion of accounting and legal formalities.
* Staying in touch with internal services and department heads in respect of accounting data and processing.
Required education level
Minimum bachelor degree or equivalent through experience. 2-3 years accounting experience.
Languages: German, French and English is necessary, other foreign languages desirable.
Experiences: Knowledge of Exact Financial Software is a preference.
Driving license: Preference.
