- Windows
- Unix
- stop/start Windows/Unix processes
- appropriate reaction on various OS messages and replies
- handling and resolving of system events of various complexity
Subsystems & Tools:
- TSO / ISPF
- BETA92
- LogViewer, Configuration Manager
- Putty
- Maximo
- SNOW
- SCM Platform
Power Center:
- knowledge and understanding of PowerCenter 8.6 architecture and tools
- platform configuration, security concepts, monitoring & performance tuning
- stop / start environment
- access management
- connection management
- deployment process (folder, individual workflow, connection, etc) and tools
- workflows monitoring, start/stop, troubleshooting
- supervision of housekeeping scripts
- command line interface and commands (scripting)
- PowerCenter development
Batch Control & Scheduling
- overall knowledge of TWS
- JCL (creating & interpreting)
- monitoring and operating MVS- & JES-Queues
- analysis of job abends, failures and JCL errors
- create JCL, analyze syntax errors and solve them
- PDTE / SCM (immediate PGM deployment)
