Desktop Technician/Executive Support (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
  • Support a full range of Desktop End User Technology (IT) needs
  • Provide specialized, personalized, and expedited desktop services to the highest levels
  • Coordinate with other Business Aligned Technology Support, Corporate Technology, and third party resources for all Asset Management support offerings  
  • Assist (remotely) executive staff and provide preparatory travel support and remote support to executive delegations while out of the office
  • Track (in conjunction with the service desk) all trouble calls by the executives/staff, updating the tickets in Service Now as required and escalating where necessary, until completed
  • Provide regular reporting statistics on support to the executive and selected staff within the business office as well as to customer management and support teams
  • Coordinate with customer management to ensure needed equipment and services are available to fulfil support requirements
  • Technical descriptions of problems, process and procedure documentation


Main qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Experience in a IT support role
  • Basic Software knowledge of products like Microsoft
  • Knowledge of Trading applications, Market Data (Thompson One and Bloomberg), Multi-function printers, Outlook e-mail, Microsoft Office Communicator, Blackberries, Mobile device email, Remote Support tools, complex telecommunication setups, web technologies, and IT security - such that requests for service can be provided in the most responsive and expeditious manner feasible  
  • Basic skills of mobile devices like Blackberry, Apple, HTC and Samsung
  • Ability to communicate at all levels - confident in approach
  • Professionalism - consistently displaying an excellent first impression to both client and colleagues 
  • Strong knowledge of: Desktop/Laptop/VDI/MAC, Cisco VOIP Phones/ECCS phones,Telepresence/VTC/Zoom, IPAD/I-Phone/Smartphones, Blackberry/mobile devices, Printing solutions, Voice recording, Call Center voice technologies, Market Data products, Mobility products
  • Exceptional communication skills, recognizing when and knowing how to translate technical jargon to business language readily understood by the people been supported
  • In addition to the expert technical knowledge and broad experience required above, impeccable professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and innovation are a necessity
