We are looking for an Application Engineer in the area of Basel:Description:
Performing analytical activities and all software development tasks. Incorporating technical and operational requirements into IT solutions.
Tasks:
- Analyzing problems (business processes, transactions, data, functions)
- Defining system requirements (functional/qualitative requirements)
- Analyzing the technical and business environment (workplace, target systems and platforms, framework organization)
- Constructing models in terms of data, functions and/or objects
- Designing components and interfaces
- Implementing applications
- Setting up and maintaining environments for developing and testing
- Create and maintain project documentation (test, application, user manual)
- Project Estimating
- Specificating and implementing interfaces
- Developing or choosing the appropriate methods, techniques, standards, guidelines and tools for software development
Requirements:
- Experienced BO Rapid Prototype Developer
- Work with report stakeholders within Pharma Portfolio Management to transition existing reports from a legacy system (Datapool) to Business Objects
- Sit with the relevant report owner to understand their requirements, explain possible reporting options using BO
- Build initial prototypes with the business representative
- Deliver prototypes for further development to programming and data integration staff inside Roche (ADMD)
- Present and refine iterative report versions to the business representatives.
- Understand the underlying processes and data model within the Oracle Data Warehouse (GODW).
