Technical Business Analyst (SQL - Financial Products)

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst with very good understanding of Derivatives, ideally more specifically with Sub Ledgers Finance exposure.
Overview of the project:
- The role is within the Finance Change organization establishing the CFO Big Data Platform. This includes working within the Datamodelling workstream for execution and deployment over multiple carrier programs.
Responsibilities:
- Business Analyst to work on strategic CFO Big Data platform implementation focusing on creation of its data model
- Working with key stakeholders and subject matter experts and clearly define scope of projects
- Opportunity to apply and extend your Business Analyst and Datamodelling skills by closely collaborating with the key Finance and IT stakeholders
- Contribute to the data model and data quality management of the Big Data platform
- Gathering and documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for solutions
- Preparation and execution of test plans, test cases, coordinating with users and IT during the testing phase
- Preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required
- Ideal candidate will meet the defined attributes for the role and display a high degree of energy, enthusiasm and passion for change including the ability to pro-actively engage in solution design and definition
Skills:
- At least 8 years of Technical Business Analysis experience, ideally with strong Datamodelling/data architecture experience within the banking and/or a change organization
- Experience of writing advanced SQL Queries
- Good understanding of financial products, trade life cycle events, and financial accounting concepts
- Strong knowledge and proven experience with Derivatives, ideally with experience with sub ledgers finance projects
- Very good data analysis experience, ideally with previous Datamodelling experience
- Experience of working in large global project
- Full project life cycle implementation experience including familiarity of Agile Projects
- Experienced in business requirements gathering, analysis, elicitation and clear documentation
- Strong analytical skills with methodical and independent approach to problem solving
- Preparation and execution of test plans, test cases, coordinating with users and IT during the testing phase
- Good team player - experience in working with global teams across multiple regions
- Outstanding interpersonal skills - confident, strong communication skills with good work attitude, proactive
- Effective time management - able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, presentational)
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage ambiguous situations
