For a project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
Senior Business Analyst - Financial Reporting
In this role, you will be responsible for gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for solutions, where required.
Your Qualifications:
- 12+ years experience as Business Analyst with focus on accounting with good understanding of financial/regulatory requirements
- Strong business analytical skills and logical reasoning with the ability to challenge the business on status quo
- Well versed in full cycle project implementation with experience with Waterfall / AGILE / Scrum project methodology and Odyssey Tools
- Knowledge in reporting and analytic tools like QLIK, AXIOM, OBIEE and TABLEAU
- Know-how in Big Data projects / technologies and General Ledger systems, Financial Consolidation tools (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management)
- Advanced Excel User and experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) related projects
- Experience of working closely with IT and Support Teams
- Active Listening skills with strong sense of ownership and can deliver independently with minimal supervision
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Work as a Senior Business Analyst within the project reporting into the Workstream Lead / Project Manager
- Extensive interactions with Business and IT would be required to understand the business requirements and the design approaches agreed with consensus
- Extensive analytical work will also be required to support the business requirements and /or to challenge the status quo and to provide a pragmatic and scalable resolution to the problem / opportunity
- Responsible for the gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for solutions, where required
- Preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements
- Responsible for preparation of test plans, test cases, co-ordinating with users and IT during the testing phase
- Execution of specific test cases
- Liaison with business users for executing the “User Acceptance Test” and securing sign-off
- Preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required
