Test Engineer / Manual Functional Testing vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- 2+ years' professional experience in Manual Functional Testing
- Expert knowledge of the BDD/TDD processes
- Expertise in testing fundamentals such as test planning, test case creation and execution as well as test reporting
- Practice with SQL as well as with Unix SSH, bash, Grep and Command line utilities in general
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and problems through troubleshooting and resolution
- Capability to manage tasks under stress and challenging deadlines
- University Degree in IT as well as an ISTQB certification is highly desirable
- English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Creating and executing test cases
- Identifying and analysing defects in the respective systems using HP ALM and JIRA
- Supporting business related testing in user acceptance testing
- Driving the testing activities to conclusion, including defect tracing, follow up and resolution by collaborating closely with offshore testing and development teams
- Enabling offshore analysis of the test data for defect fixing by anonymising test data from Switzerland
- Improving the overall QA process for efficiency and time to market
