My Client a Leading Technology consultancy is looking for an DB2 LUW consultant to join them on a project in Germany. This is remote to begin with from within Germany
Language skills needed
English, German
Technical skills of the DB2 consultant
DB2, Linux and Windows Administration Basic Level, and Scripting
MySQL or PostgreSQL or Mongo (Expertise in any one of these in mandatory)
Technical skills (Required - Nice to have)
Python, SALTSTACK, Ansible and Jenkins
Area of responsibilities
Skill Level
- Installation, upgradation and maintenance of high availability databases.
- In-depth experience in performance tuning, plan critical migrations and upgrade activities.
- Advanced troubleshooting production incidents and performing Capacity Management.
- Participating new project proposals, devising solutions to critical issues.
- Performing performance-tuning activities.
- Coordination with IBM Support vendors with respect to support cases and license management.
- Planning and executing database DR restoration drills in coordination with other teams.
- Configure DB2 HADR advanced features.
- Engaging problem management process for root cause determination & permanent corrective action.
- Implement automations for significant reduction in manual efforts, it is essential to have hands-on experience in one of the Automation Platforms like SALTSTACK, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Create and publish knowledge base articles and contribute to knowledge management activities in the service.
- Training L1/L2/L3 colleagues on various operational topics both technical and process.
