For our partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified Project Manager
Background:
When we develop a new test, we conduct Clinical Trials to demonstrate its performance.
We call such activities "primary use". However, data may as well be used beyond this initial activity.
Typically, this requires combining data across disciplines and geographies. E.g. by comparing what a customer lab has ordered with what tests its instruments have actually performed, and enriching this with the real-world pandemic status, we can optimize supply chain and test availability across the world.
Tasks
Project Leadership Competencies: Builds teams and leverages them to deliver exceptional results.
* Provides focus and direction to successfully navigate complexity and uncertainty. Shows good judgment
in decision making and has very good understanding of broad context for decisions. Rallies support
throughout the organization to get things done
* Project Scope Management: Request and enforce a consistent and common understandable scope as
primary input for project. Manage any changes to scope executing a disciplined change process.
Generates, maintains and tracks an accurate and realistic project plan, project risk and issue log and
ensures project status is timely and transparent
* Project Time Management: Use a formal process to estimate times for all activities, sequence them,
manage dependencies and maintain the schedule. Control performance and progress to meet the
deliverables according to the schedule
* Project Cost Management: Plan, allocate and manage budgets using appropriate company tools.
Control the budget within the limits of the agreed project tolerances. Tracks project financials and seek
governance approval when needed
* Project Quality Management: Ensure that all project activities are executed in full compliance to the
Roche and external standards
* Project Human Resources Management: Select Core Team in agreement with Data Leader and
providing functions. Actively promote team effectiveness, morale, motivation and productivity. Ensure the
team buys in to the goals of the project and are willing to extend themselves to meet the objectives.
Provide feedback and address non-performance to line managers
Role description
* Project Leader - Data Domain Technical Readings from Instruments & Instrument Consumption
* Project Communications Management: Effective written and oral communicator with the ability to tailor
approach to audience requirements. Implement a plan to communicate with the project team, line
management and stakeholders. Provide regular project status reports according to established business
processes. Escalate issues to the appropriate level/boards including mitigation/solution options
* Project Risk Management: Risk Maturity depending on project category but capable to include opportunity management. Key risks escalated to the next level
* Project Procurement Management: Plan, manage and control all selected suppliers and sourcing
partners to deliver according to the commitments in close collaboration with the Partner & Vendor
management function
* Stakeholder Management: Identify, plan and proactively manage the key stakeholders including senior
management
Must Haves:
? Completed Masters or equivalent degree
? Min. 3+ years of expertise in the field of project management in matrix organizations
? Proven experience working in environment of data management activities, e.g. IOT (internet of things) data management
? Proven track record of operating effectively in a global, matrixed, cross-functional environment
? Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyse data
? Result orientation mindset to shape a high quality and reliable project delivery service
? Demonstrated stakeholder management skills across various hierarchical levels
? Demonstrated management and leadership skills, strong organizational savviness and analytical skills
? Strong track record of motivating, coaching and developing individuals and teams, especially within a project set-up
? Excellent communication skills in English mandatory
? Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in influencing, negotiating, and effective global collaboration
? Previous experience working in a diagnostics / life sciences environment is a plus
Nice to Haves:
? Previous experience working in a diagnostics / life sciences environment is a plus
? Certifications in Project Management, Agile Scrum and SAFe are a plus
