Endeavour has a fantastic contract opportunity for a System Analyst to join a globally renowned organisation, based in Switzerland.
This position is remote!
The successful System Analyst will actively support the Business Analyst and the Senior Project Manager of a fast-paced agile project that aims at enhancing the application.
The role consists of supporting the elicitation and documentation of requirements, facilitating their translation into clear and unambiguous specifications for offshore developers, assisting with tracking their implementation until acceptance and deployment. It also includes some coordination of technical discussions among various internal stakeholders in support of release management and delivering on agreed requirements.
Required skills/experience:
- (Essential) University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related discipline.
- (Desirable) Certification in business analysis (eg CBAP) and/or agile methodologies (eg Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.) and/or project management (eg PRINCE2)
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience working as a business analyst, Scrum Master, Project Manager, for medium to large organizations.
- Extensive experience in performing the role of a business analyst in IT software application development projects
- Experience working with bug tracking software including Atlassian JIRA or similar products.
- Extensive experience using proven frameworks such as SCRUM software development framework and with Secure Development Lifecycle methodologies
- Knowledge and experience in using tools to document processes and workflows, such as Use Case Diagrams, Data and Process Flow Diagrams etc.
- Expert knowledge in measuring and tracking delivery of systems as fit for purpose and in accordance with agreed requirements
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English. Knowledge of other UN official languages, particularly French.
Knowledge, skills and competencies
- Familiarity with a broad range of technologies supplemented by in-depth knowledge in one or more of the specific areas of relevance (Cloud, API, security, Blockchain, DevSecOps, PKI, etc.).
- Ability to quickly grasp how new technologies work and how they might be applied to achieve business goals.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills that enable synthesis and correlation of inputs from many sources, for pragmatic and tactical implementation.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensibility and respect for diversity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are compelling, convincing and reassuring, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Personal drive, ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results.
