Valuation Risk Controller

Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Valuation Risk Controller to assist with a project that will enable the month-end financial reporting process to be faster and more efficient.
Main responsibilities
- Providing insight into the valuation practice of a broad range of product classes including, FX, rates, equities, commodities and credit
- Contributing to the Intra Month Balance Sheet project by improving front-to-back infrastructure and independent verification process.
- Participation in the monthly independent price verification process, ie price testing of the GTS and Treasury fair value inventory
- Supporting valuation aspects of key complex tools and strategic systems development and implementation
- Close collaboration with Group Finance, Finance Change, Trading, Quant Strats and Risk Management
Your skills:
- 5 years' experience with financial modelling, valuation techniques and product knowledge ideally gained within the Banking industry
- Project Management skills
- Knowledge of R or Python would be highly beneficial
- Fluent in English and ideally good knowledge of German.
- Qualifications gained in FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) along with a degree/studies in Financial Mathematics or similar (Finance, Physics, Economics, Econometrics, etc.)
