Database Engineer - Relational Databases (w/m) vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the technology sector.Your experience/skills:
- 7+ years of professional experience in the field of database administration and development
- Experience in relational databases such as SQL Server and / or Oracle or PostgreSQL
- NoSQL experience
- Cloud Database experience such as Azure Cosmos DB
- Broad knowledge and experience in database technology space, experience in technology selection process
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Evaluating and designing database architectures for data-driven solutions including a long-term DataHub solution
- Gather and analyze the requirements
- Identify database technology options and evaluate them based on the requirements
- Ensuring operational security and further development of the managed security services in database activity monitoring
- Finding solutions to operational challenges and customer projects as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of services
- Collaborating in the area of database security, database monitoring and database auditing
