IT Vendor Management Specialist

Are you an IT Vendor Specialist with previous hands-on professional experience with purchasing IT products, software and services? Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity within a non-governmental organisation (NGO)?

Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for an IT Vendor Management Specialist to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.

Your role:

You will be responsible for providing support in transactional procurement activities that are performed and executed in IT Department in liaison with the Indirect Sourcing Team to increase efficiency, while meeting Operations specifications and contributing to overall best value for the Client.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Vendor Management Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform the purchasing activities and supports the IT Operations Controller for the vendor invoicing and reconciliation.

  • Supporting the IT vendor owners to ensure compliant, efficient and consistent management of IT related procurement activities handled by IT in accordance with the Client's Procurement Procedures.

  • S/he also supports the vendor owners to ensure consistent management of all proposals and contracts, effectively manage the contract management process and system, ensure all contracts which IT manage are well maintained and timely and s/he promotes best practices.

  • Supporting the Vendor Management Office (VMO) activities related to the vendor life cycle management, vendor spend analysis, vendor performance reports and analytics and implementation of vendor management related governance

To deliver the required results, it's essential that you have:

  • Advanced university degree in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field or an equivalent combination of academic/professional qualifications and experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
  • OJEU knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  • Negotiation skills
  • Team player able to work effectively across domains and hierarchies and to correctly interpret project-related information
  • Good knowledge of risks and change management.
  • Experience working with Oracle
  • Excellent written and oral French and English is required.
