Cloud Solution Architect - AWS/Azure/Microservices/Digital & Automation - vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Experience implementing microservices architecture within a Cloud environment (AWS/Azure)
- Broad engineering experience and executive level presence combined with Insurance or Financial services experience as a senior architect
- Extensive technology experience including Java, JavaScript, .NET, data streaming, MQ, SQL, NoSQL, Typescript, Docker, React, Kafka, Test automation tooling, CI/CD pipeline tools, AWS, Azure and GCP
- Experience mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues
- Senior stakeholder engagement, as well as consultancy experience with multiple partners and priorities
- Expertise in integration of internal/external and front to Back Office technologies incl. on premise and cloud environments
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Defining the detailed platform architecture for full stack digital insurance solutions and getting the buy-in from the CTOs
- Reviewing and providing recommendations on platform architecture and microservices down to the code level and guide the engineers
- Defining and supporting the delivery of integration technologies, APIs etc. including back to Front Office, Legacy to digital and internal and external/partner integration
- Working with variety of internal and external partners, to run RFI's, RFP's and POC's at pace to support business requirements
- Synthesising requirements underlying feature requests, recommending alternative technical and business approaches, and facilitating engineering efforts to meet timelines
- Leading technical due diligence and assessment for M&A initiatives, as well as identifying a process & set of KPI's that monitor/drive the digitalisation efforts
