IT Business Analyst/Developer (Banking - Ticino)

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Ticino, we are looking for an IT Requirements Engineer who ideally comes with a development background.
Overview of the project:
- The department is responsible for the delivery of IT solutions, providing the front- and Back End applications which support the client's internal users and customers to manage the whole credit management process.
Responsibilities:
- Elicits, analyzes, models and validates business requirements, conditions and priorities within application development projects in the Credit Risk Domain. The applications involved in these projects are used to create and manage mortgage and Lombard credits for the Private Banking area.
- Identify all the affected applications and interfaces and perform a stakeholder analysis
- Ensures that specified requirements are transmitted entirely and correctly to the development and test team members by writing clear and detailed functional and non-functional requirements specifications
- Supports developers and testers by resolving business issues that come up during the technical implementation and testing phase
- Provides subject matter expertise to support the development and validation of quality assurance, application architecture, testing and other project deliverables
- Provides 3rd Level Support by investigating the root cause of raised production issues and by figuring out what, where and how to fix the root cause of the reported issues.
- Production and sign-off of standard requirements engineering deliverables (Use Case Model, Use Cases, Domain Object Model, Business Rule Specifications, Screen Specifications, Non Functional Requirements Specifications, Project Requirements List) on time and with high quality
- Effort estimations and task planning for Requirements Engineering related project tasks
Skills:
- Over 4 years of experience in requirements engineering in application development projects
- Ideally previous background as a developer
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of use case modelling
- Strong SQL and Datamodelling skills
- Experience in banking or finance industry
- Soft skills to handle stakeholders with different background (Business Project Managers, User Representatives, Programmers, Offshore resources, Testers etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to deal effectively with people face to face and over the phone across different cultures and time zones (off-shore)
- Strong ability to work independently and to work collaboratively in a team
- Understanding of architecture diagrams (mostly UML component diagrams)
- Understanding of the development technologies and the development and deployment processes
Beneficial skills:
- Business engineering education and/or certificate
- Experience working in Credit Domain of Banking Industry and particularly in the Mortgage & Lombard domain
- Experience in delivery projects using agile methodologies and tools (eg Scrum, JIRA, )
- Experience in international and large-scale projects
- German and/or Italian language knowledge are an added value
