Senior Developer

Description:
- Objective: Automate an existing data processing and data integration pipeline (Perl, R, Linux shell scripts, Oracle/SQL, MS Access) which is currently run in a partially manual fashion.
- Include checkpoint procedures and failure recovery.
- Load/update Oracle tables with new (experimentally derived) results and data.
- Prepare pipeline for change in underlying laboratory technology (clean interfaces).
- Optionally deploy compute-intensive parts of the pipeline on existing Linux cluster.
Mandatory:
Perl/Python, Linux shell scripting, R, Oracle/SQL, workflow management, good communicator
Optional:
knowledge in bioinformatics, statistics, biology/genomics
