Overview of business area or project:
We are looking for a senior developer for the data warehouse application Common Data Pool (CDP). The system provides data of global securities universe as well as enriched data from internal and external data providers. The data from CDP are sent to various applications of various business division within the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a senior MarkIT/Cadis EDM developer/engineer.
The candidate should have strong financial data modelling and data integration skills to take on the responsibility of analysis of data sources and their integration for a MarkIT/Cadis EDM-based data integration solution, consolidating data from both internal as well as external sources.
As part of a global team, you will be responsible for analysing a large number of data sources and their mapping onto a master model, the design and implementation of masters and output structures, implementation of data processing logic with MarkIT/Cadis EDM, GUI implementation using the web client and acceptance testing of the deliveries of the integrated data.
Overview of the department/team (team size, backgrounds, personalities):
- Reporting to manager in Zurich, cooperation with distributed teams from different locations. The CDP team size is about 15 people. Software development according to Agile Scrum methodology.
- Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:
- A challenging role as a Senior Cadis/MarkIT Enterprise Data Management Specialist in a demanding business (Risk Management) and technical (Data Mgt., DWH) environment.
- Interactions with SMEs, Product Owners on daily basis. Challenging deadlines within sprints.
- Long and engagement demanding training period because of complexity and size of the application.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Datamodelling and data mapping experience with financial reference and pricing data, data integration and data quality management
- 5+ years of experience with MarkIT EDM/CADIS (v. 19.1) and MS SQL Server 2014
- 10+ years of experience as developer (possible stack: C#, Mongo DB, Control-M)
- Project experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Engineering hands on experience
- Good communication skills
- Jira (Confluence, Odyssey)
