Tax Manager - Group Tax Reporting / IFRS / US GAAP - this is a long term contract opportunity to join a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- Extensive experience in a Group/Tax Reporting role within a multinational company or equivalent experience in public accounting
- Extensive experience with accounting systems and income tax provision applications
- Strong knowledge in accounting for income taxes principles and experience in external reporting of income taxes, IFRS experience is advantageous
- Good understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and local statutory principles paired with familiarity in digital, process improvement, and agile methodologies
- Professional certificate issued by a tax and accounting governing body is required
- Ability to sustain high level of work output and meet tight deadlines through close cooperation with teams across locations and time zones
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Overseeing the group wide economic value and other non-traditional tax reporting work streams within Group Tax
- Managing the needs of internal stakeholders at group level, region, and legal entity
- Cooperating with the global tax organization on US GAAP balance sheet tax account consolidation and analysis
- Collaborating with other members of Group Tax Reporting on ongoing tax related projects as well as delivering support for regional tax teams in these projects
- Providing advice on economic value tax impacts of internal and external transactions
- Bringing new ideas on the improvement and automation of the tax reporting process through the analysis of impacts from multiple internal projects
- Controlling developments in IFRS and in regulatory reporting from a tax perspective
- Representing Group Tax in the finance change management process
