We are looking for an Application Testing and Packaging Project Manager in the area of Basel:Context
- The rollout of the new client with Windows 7 will include the new version of MS Office 2010 and Internet Explorer 9
- As a preparation for the Rollout, more than1200 applications must be migrated to be compatible with the new client infrastructure. These applications must be tested after migration and prior to Rollout
Customer’s mission for the application testing and packaging Coordinator
- Overall coordination of the Project activities required to identify, test and package the applications required by the specific business area.
- Support the management of the Project Plan, Status and Issues logs and coordination of the execution activities.
- Driving the execution activities and timely escalations to the overall Project Manager
- The role is not to perform the testing as the testing will be performed by the application Owners. The Mission of the Project Manager is the coordination of a structured project to assure Application Readiness to support the Windows 7 Rollout
- Once Applications have been tested and are ready the Project Manager will work with the business to develop batches to allow the rollout of Windows 7 to specific customer’s teams in specified locations
- The role will cover the coordination and management of activities on a global basis
- The Coordinator must report on a weekly base the testing progress and application readiness per site
- Coordinator will work with the Project Communications resources to ensure that the appropriate messages are provided to the overall business, senior stakeholders and Global Programme team
- Execution of Application scanning, verification and migration, these will be done be the Application Stream
- Execution of Application testing which will be performed by the application Owners themselves
Skills:
- Project Management to tight timescales in a global environment.
- Able to drive diverse and remote teams to a demanding timescale
- Self starter able to drive action in client teams
- Politically aware and able to operate in unclear environments – bringing clarity
- Able to communicate at different client levels with clear and concise messages – escalating where necessary to achieve project results.
- Fluent in English
